GTA TESTIMONIALS
WHO IS THE GAME TIME ACADEMY FOR?
Many of the athletes I see in clinic have already seen 1-2 other physios before they step into my facility. When I go through their previous management and rehab programs, I am routinely let down by our profession.
I don't know about you, but I spent more time in my under-graduate degree learning about inhalers and TENS machines than I did in the gym, working on my rehab coaching ability and the practical implementation of the limited rehab content I was taught.
The reality is that as a profession, we aren't great at sports rehab for a number of reasons. Governing bodies are more focused on "magic" hands on techniques or machines that "fix" people, with hundreds of expensive weekend courses, preaching out-dated methods.
This mentorship is for those physiotherapists, performance coaches and 4th year students that aren't comfortable with providing D-grade rehab programs and hoping for A-grade results.
For those that want to be able to reliably return their athletes back to the sports they love, without an elevated risk of injury.
For those that want to position themselves as a leader in the profession and make a name for themselves as someone who does a great job time and time again.
For those that want to feel comfortable and competent in the gym, out on the field or pitch-side, and not confined to your small treatment room.
This mentorship is the culmination of 10 years of my experience in private practice and sport, as well as the key learnings from multiple mentors of mine over the years.
WHY STUDENTS & REHAB PROFESSIONALS CHOOSE THE GAME TIME ACADEMY
TANGIBLE SKILLS YOUR UNI LEFT OUT
The Game Time Academy is a 16-week mentorship program aimed at arming mentees with the knowledge and skills to take athletes from day post injury back to performing at a high level.
No fluff, no magic bullets, just the systems and processes your University should have taught you but decided to leave out.
24/7 ACCESS TO MENTORSHIP CONTENT
The mentorship content is provided through an online platform called Skool. Modules are released every 2 weeks to ensure mentees have the opportunity to digest and apply the content.
Our Skool group has hours of pre-recorded content, resources, cheat sheets etc. to help mentees develop their sports rehab skills at any time and their own pace.
SMALL COHORTS = MAXIMUM VALUE
Throughout the mentorship, Aaron takes fortnightly group and monthly 1:1 Zoom calls with all mentees to answer any questions they may have and provide feedback from case scenarios.
With capped intakes, mentees get maximum value out of their learning, having ample opportunity to dive deeper into the content and real-world examples..
LOWER LIMB REHAB MASTERCLASS
Modules 3-5 take a deep dive into lower limb sports rehabilitation and how to get athletes back to their best post injury (ACL, MCL, meniscus, ankle sprain etc).
From initial assessments, to gym and rehab programs, to running analysis and end-stage training programs, these lower limb modules help mentees elevate their lower limb sports rehab and ensure their athletes are at a lower risk of re-injury on return.
UPPER LIMB MASTERCLASS
Modules 6-8 shift our focus to sports rehabilitation practices of the upper limb, in particular the shoulder.
Many professionals struggle with shoulder rehabilitation, which is something we look to correct.
These modules elevate mentees ability to prescribe effective rehab programs and return to contact/play progressions.
OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH ATHLETES
For those that choose to pay for the mentorship with your time (internship), there will be ample opportunity to work with rehab and performance athletes.
At Game Time, 50% of our patient base are athletes, with mentees provided the opportunity to come in and help coach them in our performance rehab sessions or look after affiliate sports clubs on weekends.
MY STORY
I graduated my under-graduate degree back in 2015 in New Zealand and quickly made the move to Brisbane in search for opportunity. Along with over 9 years of private practice experience and owning a clinic for 5 years, I have worked with the following:
-
Souths Logan Magpies Q Cup Head Physiotherapist (2016-2018)
-
Northern Pride Q Cup Away Physiotherapist (2019-2022)
-
Carina Leagues Club Tigers Ruby & Sapphire Head Physiotherapist & Strength and Conditioning Coach (2021-2023)
-
Bulimba Bulldogs RLFC Head Physiotherapist & Strength and Conditioning Coach (2022-2024)
-
Queensland Reds U16 Physiotherapist (2023-present)
Outside of this experience I have obtained my ASCA Level 1 coaching accreditation, completed multiple mentorships myself with leaders in physiotherapy and strength and conditioning, and will be submitting my Sports Physiotherapy Masters' thesis in April 2025 (University of Bath, UK).
REQUIREMENTS
This mentorship requires engagement and application of the content from everyone involved. There will be fortnightly group calls to go over the content, ask any questions you may have and go through any a number of case scenarios together. Monthly 1:1 calls will help dive further into the content, discuss anything from content to business, and ensure you're getting as much as possible from this mentorship.
Cost: $2500 + gst (payment plans available) or...
For those that can provide Game Time Performance with 12 hours of their time per fortnight to assist our physios and coaches in our Performance Rehab Sessions or with our affiliate sports clubs as sports trainers, the mentorship will NOT COST THEM A CENT.
This real-world experience and exposure to performance and rehab athletes is rare within the private sector and another valuable learning component to what we are offering.
